MLA 8th ed. Practice Template
Generally, when citing research using the MLA 8th edition, use all of the available and pertinent information necessary for the reader to locate the source. If the information is unavailable or unnecessary, leave it out of the citation. However, always refer to the instructions for an assignment and defer to the instructor's preferences.
